Silver medal 1902. (by Lauer) On the unveiling of the Neptune Fountain. Fountain between the crests / 13 lines. 74 mm, 155 g, Slg. Erlanger 599; nearly mint state, few encrustations, tiny rim nick

The original Neptune Fountain was built between 1650 and 1660 on behalf of the city council but it was never mounted. In 1797 it was sold to the Russian tsar Paul I. By the help of private donors and with the permission of the Russian government an exact copy of the fountain was casted in bronze and unveiled on 22 Octobre 1902.
