Die Heiligen Drei Könige
Azes was king of Bactria from 35 BC to 5 AD. His reign was so succesfull, that he was given the name "Azes the Great".
The coins of Azes bear inscription in two languages. The obverse in Greek, worshipping him as the "King of Kings", the reverse the same title translated in karoshti.
Azes is said to be one of the three magi, who came to the birth of Christ to Bethlehem.
